Whoever brilliantly thought of covering hoardings, billboards and posters advertising the casinos in Goa need to be appreciated. He/she gave a boost to textile industries, employment to tailors and labourers to ‘dress’ the advertisements. Hats off to the authorities (government or casino owners) for having given the go-ahead and must have paid a few lakhs of rupees for the task. Perhaps all these people were unaware that the G20 guests would read about Goa and what it offers, including hotspots and night spots. Even when PMs, Presidents and VVIPs have come to Goa such importance were not given to the casino advertisements. Will the clothes remain till all the G20 events planned in Goa are completed? The ‘cover-up’ job seems like the Emperor’s new clothes! A professional magician should be hired to make the casino vessels ‘disappear’ whenever the G20 guests look at them!
