Goa is facing a serious shortage of ambulances, with delays often occurring in reaching accident scenes or transporting critically injured victims to hospitals. Such delays can cost lives, particularly when badly injured people are left waiting for medical assistance. Instead of spending taxpayers’ money on divisive statue politics, the government should urgently expand the ambulance fleet and position ambulances strategically across Goa to ensure faster emergency response. Public needs must not be neglected. Motorists must also give way to ambulances and other emergency vehicles without delay. Every second counts when a life is at stake. Many young lives have been lost in road accidents, and urgent action is needed to prevent further tragedies. Citizens should drive slowly and carefully, particularly on unsafe roads affected by underground cable work, PWD water pipeline repairs and stray cattle. The government and citizens must work together to improve emergency services and road safety. Valuing every second can help save lives.
