Sometime at end of 2008, I along with few other NRI Goans had meetings with then Leader of Opposition (now late) Manohar Parrikar. I had presented to him a UAE Signature Campaign (signed by NRI Goans mostly from the UAE) highlighting the various ills facing Goans including mining, rampant real estate development, destruction of the environment etc. and a powerpoint presentation offering our ideas and suggestions to work together for the betterment of Goa. I understand my file on the same (under my name) was still there at the Goa Secretariat at least some years back. Parrikar then listened to us patiently and explained to us how he had already filed official cases against these corrupt Congress politicians and plans to take even more action to have them prosecuted for all their theft, destruction and wrong doings. I can't really fathom how the BJP with so many of its own people elected has the luxury to give these ex-Congress corrupt men top position in the Cabinet. If one carefully analyses the BJP game plan pre 2012 to now; it's nothing but a betrayal and sad joke on Goans.
