Kudos to Home Minister and co-op Minister Amit Shah for launching the govt-based co-op sector taxi platform ‘Bharat Taxi’ service in Gujarat and Delhi. The scheme, which promises to bring in a lot of benefits to taxi drivers, with 80% of taxi fares credited directly to their accounts, etc, is also expected to serve as a viable alternative to the existing app-based aggregators who have made themselves indispensable.
The scheme, which will become operative on a pan-India basis in three years, will hopefully also replace the existing taxi system in Goa and bring relief from the suffering and hardships faced by the people of Goa. It is now up to the Goa govt to implement the change.
