Aggressive stray dogs chasing bikes and cars and causing accidents has become a very common occurrence in Goa. These dogs have become a threat to human life. Their number is increasing day by day in the cities, case in particular is Bhatlem in Panaji. Most of these animals are usually seen around garbage heaps during the day and on roads and streets at night. It is time respective civic bodies take up proper garbage management. Sincere efforts should be made to effectively sterilise every stray dog with proper identity. The government has to come up with a long-term solution to rid every street corner of this menace.
