Bail was rightly denied to former RSS chief Subhash Velingkar after virulent protests which transpired in the past few days. The Court finally found it necessary to deny bail to Velingkar, who could have simply apologized. This has set a precedent for all times to come, for all his concerned followers. This is a stern reminder for such volatile people that they have not to interfere with the revered Saint and disturb the harmony of the state. It is believed that he had nothing to do with the Inquisition in Goa. All stakeholders did a splendid job during this turbulent episode of mass statewide protests leading to this ruling by the honourable court. Velingkar was the former chief of the state RSS . He has put a review petition seeking justice to his rejected bail application, which is preposterous and shouldn't be granted, as his crime is multi-dimensional and with malafide intentions, invoking several sections of the IPC. Now it is upto the police to move ahead and do the needful as per the law. He has been a habitual offender at least three times if not more for making virulent remarks and now casting aspersions on the title of Goencho Saib.
