Goans and Konkani lovers are saddened and shocked by the untimely demise of tragedy king of Goan tiatr Mario Menezes who was running his Menezes production. Tiatr will always remember him for his versatile acting as a hero at a younger age and later different types of roles he did to perfection that captivated audiences and touched hearts not only in Goa but also in Europe and Gulf countries. He also was the only tiatrist who started a new concept of children's tiatr and gave a chance to youngsters to hone their talent and make career in tiatr. He was also was a pioneer in giving youngsters a chance in his own dramas and also recommend them to other tiatrists. He always lived for tiatr and till his last breath worked for the upliftment of tiatr and he and Menino Bandar will be much appreciated by the tiatr fraternity. Mario Menezes is not in our midst but his contributions to tiatr will be remembered forever. May God give him eternal rest and may his family especially Rioma follow the footsteps of her father.
