Ensure that blood banks have sufficient stock

Goa is witnessing rising cases of the new Covid 19 variant  due to the carefree attitude by the 'Good Governance' government in power. I think the economy of the State has to be protected and there cannot be total lockdown, but testing should have been made  mandatory. The government has made an announcement for vaccinations for different age groups which is welcomed but my concern is about the blood donation camps that used to bring in blood for patients of different groups. It would be appreciated if the Dean of GMC Dr Bandekar could advertise on the newspaper, radio and electronic media the need for blood donations and who is eligible to donate as many youngsters and elderly will be taking the vaccine. The need is to see that our blood banks are having sufficient stock or we may create another shortage.
