Focus on door-to-door Covid vax

Focus on door-to-door Covid vax

The government should take an appropriate decision on door-to-door Covid-19 vaccination for the elderly, wheelchair bound, bedridden and differently abled.  It is reported that Bikaner in Rajasthan is starting door-to-door vaccination drive in the ongoing fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.   States such as Kerala and Jammu and Kashmir were already carrying out such drives. Why can't the remaining states in india start such drives.

There are some people who still do not own a smartphone and have no clue about the vaccination process.  Many of them are scared of taking the vaccine either due to lack of awareness or because of the misinformation doing the rounds.  The Centre too is not in favour of door-to-door vaccine delivery but definitely interested in door-to-door canvassing for vote.  Centre did not get anything right till now and is groping in the dark as to how to tackle the enormous mess.  Remember that polio drops were free to all children during the Indira Gandhi  era and was door-to-door.  It's impossible to fight Coronavirus without delivering vaccines door-to-door.
