Go, Goa, gone

Goa is in danger. The Portuguese left years ago, but we are still not free from our own politicians. They divide people in the name of religion, statues, history, and development. Some say the Portuguese demolished temples, yet today, our own people are breaking religious statues in Goa.

The BJP government must reshuffle its cabinet. If the Chief Minister and Goa Police cannot control crime, they should hand over their duties to the military or impose President’s Rule. If the government keeps failing to protect Goans, should we call the Portuguese back? Instead of addressing issues, the BJP government is busy filing FIRs against citizens trying to save Goa.

Crime is rising”hit-and-runs, kidnappings, murders, protests, robberies, land scams, rapes, and job fraud. The government seems powerless, allowing division for political gain. Even Indian tourists fear visiting Goa, let alone foreigners. The original Goenkars are disappearing, replaced by outsiders rewriting Goa’s history. Nature is being destroyed under the guise of development. Unnecessary highways and bridges”are they for coal mafias? Goans must wake up. While the world works for the future, some here just enjoy free biryani and alcohol, ignoring reality.
