Unless one is admitted to the Covid Hospital, one will not know what's going on inside. We know that the deaths in Singapore and New Zealand, both countries having a population of around with 55 lakhs, managed to keep their death count below 30.
But Goa with a poulation of around 15 lakh has seen more than 170 deaths. There have been witnesses who have complained that the treatment of patients at the Covid hospital has been abysmal. Imagine, diabetes patients with Covid-19 being given high-cholesterol foods. Goa is among the last places to be affected by Covid 19.
We has the advantage of learning from other countries how to tackle the pandemic, but we failed miserably. We have a panel of doctors to oversee the tackling of the pandemic, but they not addressing the key problem. Or else count how many deaths Goa has witnessed after the panel was formed. Countries need soldiers when they go to war. Covid 19 is a war and we are facing an acute shortage of frontline soldiers. Private doctors need to be roped in. Some Covid positive patients in home isolation have reported that no doctors are calling them. If you phone your family doctor, he will reply you are not audible, call later.
