Kangana-Sena spat has hijacked all other news

The ongoing spat between actress Kangana Rawat on her tweets of Mumbai likened to PoK and the Shiv Sena on the backfoot demolishing her extended Bandra bungalow has taken mainstream news to a new level amidst the raging Coronavirus pandemic.

The defiant posturing of the activist-actress has the unstinted support of the BJP at the Centre by providing her Y-plus security and the backing of the Himachal Pradesh Government. It has also overtones of settling old scores of a strained relationship of the BJP with the Shiv Sena who had pulled out of the alliance in Maharashtra during the last elections.

The show of strength has reached a climax with threat calls to both the Chief Minister and Home Minister which has caused a ruckus in the Maharashtra Assembly.

The imbroglio has also connotation in the Sushant Singh Rajput's death case between Kangana, Aghadi govt and infamous Bollywood's Karan Johar Gang where Rhea Chakraborty has been accused in the psychotropic substance abuse case which may lead to opening of the proverbial pandora's box by exposing the links of the Bollywood mafia with the drug peddlers.

All other mainstream news has been hijacked and overshadowed by the two damsels in distress taking centre-stage.
