Abraham Lincoln said, "Democracy is a rule of the people, for the people and by the people". This ''Aaya Ram Gaya Ram'' expression of unethical politics hurting Goa and Goans at large must stop. The phenomenon of changing loyalties has become utterly shameless - seeing frequent floor-crossing, switching parties and political horse-trading in the legislature by the elected politicians we have voted. In today's world, most would like to educate their children knowing education has the greatest value in the society with healthy lifestyle. But one wonders, why we don't check the educational background of the politicians before we cast our valuable votes to gift them a comfortable life. Soon various types of schemes, employment promises or carrots will be dangled to lure us and our votes. Not only our democracy, our own Goemkarponn has been murdered in broad daylight. Let's join hands as Goans united, despite all our religions, castes or communities and strongly refuse the politicians’ freebies - short term remuneration envelopes and flash their 'politricks' degrees at their faces.
