It is really sad and shocking to see that outsiders have assumed Goan identity as all migrants from Karnataka are having residence certificate from the Mamlatdar's office which clearly shows that they are in Goa State for more than 15 years, but the funny thing is that most of them do not know our mother tongue Konkani and few between them speak in Hindi. Now since the Assembly elections and Panchayats elections are near, the BLOs and Mamlatdar’s office have to delete the names of those people who have died during the pandemic.
Remember that the persons who have already expired will not come to pay your bills and to vote so approach the Mamlatdar’s office and cancel the names of the deceased persons from the list. This will help prevent dead persons from going to cast their votes. The people can go for correction/ deletion of names in Mamlatdar’s office or any other offices such as Electricity Department and PWD. Hope the State Government will listen to the voice of people and save and protect our lands, our soil, our identity.
