Listen to the voices of people, scrap double-tracking project

There are media video footages wherein Cuncolim MLA Clafacio is shown extending support to the Sawant government on railway double-tracking and expansion of coal handling in the State, though he may now be making a U-turn and blaming the media for quoting him out of context.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Clafacio had assured the people of Chandor and Guirdolim village that the government would complete the work of railway under-bridge at Chandor crossing and start with the railway flyover at San Jose de Areal on priority. But, that's not to be. The Govt has instead taken up the double tracking project of the South Western Railways which is clearly in the interest of Adanis and Jindals to transport coal through Goa.

Further more, the Railways had acquired the land bypassing the village Panchayats.

So, we request our local MLA and the CM to listen to the voices of the people and complete the work which you promised and delink from the project which is against Goa and Goans.
RONNIE D'SOUZA, Chandor
