Marathi push: Speak for Goa and Goans, not Maharashtra

It is likely that most of Goa's MLAs have their roots in Maharashtra, and that is the reason their hearts beat for the neighbouring State. So they build Shivaji statues at various places in Goa and slowly want to make Marathi the second official language of the State. This is their hidden agenda. In Maharashtra nowadays, outsiders are forced to speak in Marathi, their State language, and I don't understand why the hell a few MLAs want to make Marathi the second official language of Goa.

Goa's official language is Konkani, and the MLAs who are brought up in Goa should feel proud to speak in their own mother tongue. Like the Marathi people's hearts beat for the Marathi language, our Goans' hearts beat for the Konkani language. Are they of double mind, double faces and confused about which State they really belong to? Are they fed up or don’t like their own State and are eyeing the land of Goa?

The Government of Goa should make Romi Konkani a subject in schools and give it equal place with Devanagari Konkani. The people of Goa and Maharashtra, especially Mumbai, have had a good relationship with each other for ages, and we have seen the Bollywood movie songs and the title "Bombay to Goa". Politicians, please do not break our relationship in the name of language.
