Need for 'One Nation, One Education'

Some years back there was much discussion about “One Rank, One Pension,” for the defence personnel. In recent months we are hearing about “One Nation, One Ration,” and “One Nation, One Election.” Considering the different  educational Boards (State, NCERT, CBSE, ICSE) and syllabus for schools and colleges, it would be pertinent to have “One Nation, One Education (ONOE).” In all the States, the syllabus for various standards in schools and streams in colleges (both in professional and non-professional) should be the same. In 7th and 8th standards, the students would study their State’s history, geography, geology, crops etc. ONOE would make a level-playing grounds for the lakhs of students who appear for various entrance exams for graduate, post-graduate, engineering, medical, architecture, chartered accountancy, law etc. When the parents are transferred, the students would not face difficulties to adjust in the new State. ONOE would also help teachers who wish to relocate to another State or are compelled to move when their spouses are transferred. Perhaps most important would be "One Nation, One People!"
