No permanent solution to noise pollution

The noise pollution menace is an ongoing one without a permanent solution. As a result, the old and the sick people continue to suffer. There is no will to tackle the menace in rural and urban areas. In today’s hi-tech we have world motor vehicular movement, mechanised navigation and railways operating till wee hours. These are generators of noise. Moreover, we have flight landings that make deafening noises in thickly populated residential areas. The noise pollution threat and the grievances of the people should be solved by a strong civic will. No legislation can control noise except for the sanity of the human mind.
