It has been reported that the NTA has sacked 47 officials in a "big overhaul" as part of the action taken to check paper leaks in the future.
But here is the fun part:
The NTA has a total of only 39 permanent posts.
As per the government's submission to the Rajya Sabha, 15 of these posts are vacant, which means it has only 24 permanent employees.
The agency also has 73 employees on contract and 124 outsourced personnel.
So who exactly was sacked in this big overhaul?
Did they just fire a few contractual employees and throw out a few outsourced personnel, only to replace them with other contractual employees and outsourced personnel?
The sarkar has been caught hoodwinking the country again.
