The death of Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, his wife and 11 other defence personnel in a helicopter crash has raised multiple questions.
We are deeply saddened by death of Gen Bipin Rawat and others in Tamil Nadu. He was an officer of high calibre and had his views on many matters and expressed them without hesitation and was first CDS of the country.
His valuable contributions and acts of utmost prudence have always been assets to the nation. It is with a great sense of shock and dismay that the country received the news that it had lost its top-most military officer.
This need serious probe. CDS Gen Bipin Rawat along with other high rank officials are pride for the country and hence need to ascertain that real fact of such crash need to come out.
Crores of rupees are spent on defence hardware and a chopper crash like this is unbelievable.
The mishap has national security implications of a high order and the questions surrounding it need to be answered by those in power.
