Our Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was seen continuously roaming around with Baba Ramdev during his recent visit in the state and actively promoting him by publicly doing a few yoga exercises along with him during his three-day Yoga sessions in Goa.
He has now reportedly also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Ayurved for collaboration in potential areas like agriculture, floriculture, horticulture, farming, rural development, dairy management etc after promising him all the required assistance to set up South India's biggest Patanjali Ayurvedic Wellness Centre in Goa very soon and helping him in promoting the so-called 'spiritual tourism' in the state. Baba Ramdev is not a qualified expert nor a doctor but is a highly successful self-made businessman cum Yoga specialist from India. I therefore feel that our CM should instead assist some genuine medical practitioners /doctors from around the country to set up their own Medical Research Centres/hospitals for tourists (including domestic tourists & Goans) and to make Goa into a world class model tourist state in the near future.
