CHOGM road in Porvorim has at long-last been repaired and hot- mixed, and presently free of the nagging potholes and wide cracks that earlier proved to be dangerous and a nightmare for driving.
However, little thought has been given for the safety of pedestrians and residents of the area who find it difficult to cross the road without the fear of being knocked down by the speeding vehicles.
Earlier, there were a few movable metal road dividers that proved to be a boon for those crossing the road.
Unfortunately, these dividers were removed at the time of repairing the road, and never replaced to date.
It is therefore requested that the RTO and those concerned, take due cognizance of the gravity of the problem, and replace the metal dividers, or construct a few concrete dividers to solve the problem without further delay.
