Congress ex-leader of opposition now the deputy chief minister in the BJP dispensation, Babu Chandrakant Kavlekar, has started many developmental works in Quepem. Footpaths and road widening are being carried out without shifting the electricity poles which are on the road. It is noticed that the main road in is in a bad condition and needs urgent hot mix. The road from the police station to the market junction has been widened, but incomplete and that's proving to be dangerous for motorists. Filling potholes is not the solution for this main road; it has to be hot mixed. So we request Babu to look into the problems of the common man and at least ensure a good motorable road.
