Quick cognisance at Vagheri bodes well

It is heartening to note the quick cognisance of the Vagheri destruction by Forest Minister Vishwajit Rane. The high-ranking forest officials descended on Vagheri and initiated proceedings against the errant individuals who were hell-bent on destroying the ecology of Goa’s pristine Vagheri hills. This enthusiasm of the Forest Minister deserves accolades and I hope he will continue this with gusto.

An RTI query has revealed that our Chief Minister’s recent swearing-in cost the exchequer a whopping Rs 5.59 crore. This amount does not include the rental of the SP Mukherjee stadium and advertisements released in print, electronic media and radio.
