White stripes that were painted on speed breakers and pedestrian crossings have withered away at most of the locations in the state. Hence the situation turns dangerous for the lives of innocent travellers and pedestrians proceeding along the concerned routes. One peculiar instance that can be highlighted in this context is a speed-breaker existing along the stretch of road from the circle at Farmagudi towards Goa Engineering College. White stripes that were marked here have almost withered away from the scene thereby turning it dangerous for precious human lives. It is necessary for the concerned authorities to repaint the white stripes over speed-breakers and pedestrian crossings on an urgent basis so that safety is assured to the public at large. Let us hope that prompt positive action would follow in this important matter in public interest.
