Navigating potholes is already a challenge, and now there are concerns about stray cattle and dogs, in addition to the threat posed by bisons. One can only imagine the predicament of the motorists in Amone-Poinguinim, whose car was jumped on by a bison that sat on the bonnet right in front of them. They are fortunate to have escaped with only damage to their car, but the bison has suffered injuries. The sight of a huge bison on the road is indeed unusual.
However, it raises an important question: does this incident relate to humans encroaching on animal territory, causing wildlife to feel displaced and stray onto the roads? We need to consider this seriously.
