Our PM has gone all out to make India Aatmanirbhar (self-reliant). According to him, India should now less dependence on other countries and try to be self-sufficient.
The question that comes to mind is can the commonman be self-reliant? If a small businessman needs a loan from any bank, he has to go through a lot of trouble. From filling multiple forms, furnishing documents and arranging guarantors, the list is endless.
As a result small businessmen cannot flourish because they do not have capacity go in for loans.
It is only the big business houses that can get quick loans from banks at their whims and fancies and even default in paying back.
Of course, there are several schemes for the poor and unemployed youth. It would be in the fitness of things if paper work for these schemes was simplified.
The govt has also come out with its slogan ‘vocal for local’. This would surely help our fellow Goans who have good skills in being self-reliant.
