Several government run schools are getting shut down due to zero enrolment. Moreover, it's not a new revelation though that the facilities in these schools are not upscaled to meet the challenges thrown by reputed private schools in the vicinity. Furthermore, a type of fear psychosis has gripped the minds of the parents pertaining to quality education, poor infrastructure and lack of basic amenities. Subsequently, there are instances wherein it is observed that the government schools keep functioning without fixing the water leakage problem during monsoons with students facing problems of sitting in the midst of water leakage. However, with no other alternative, some parents are forced to get their children admitted in reputed private schools, despite their exorbitant fees. The authorities concerned ought to upscale their policies pertaining to the government run schools, and bring back its lost glory.
