Goa announces 3 days and 9 hours ‘lockdown’. This is not a lockdown but an eyewash. In fact, it appears Corona has ‘agents’ working for them. Doctors know that a lockdown must be for 17 days, which would have finished Covid, yet they agree for 3.5 days. And buses: they are still plying with no possibility of social distancing. In fact, this short period is definitely going to make people more lax after the so-called lockdown. The tourism industry are counting on holding private parties during the lockdown: they know the party animals like the ‘thrills’ of partying during lockdowns . Goa is short of vaccines so cannot start vaccinating the 18+ age group. Their testing numbers were less so we have many more victims in the nascent stage of infection who will be tested positive in this lockdown. There will be no let up in oxygen and bed requirements. Even the head of state does not follow SOP. There is no way the entire population in Goa can follow SOPs 100%.
