"I come from two Indias", as a famous comedian once said. One India where politicians continue to exploit, where misogyny, patriarchy, violence, hatred, radicalisation and regressive thinking are normalised, justified and even celebrated. An India that wants women obedient, minorities compliant, and dissenters silent.
And then there is another India. An India that is calling out misogyny, challenging patriarchy and refusing to accept hatred as a way of life. An India that wants women to feel safe, minorities to feel equal and every individual to have the freedom to live with dignity.
Two Indias, one looking backwards, holding on to fear, hate and control. The other, looking forward, demanding equality, freedom, safety and a more humane, inclusive and secular society. Which India would you like to build or belong to?
