I have observed this hazardous condition of the road at several places on the Benaulim-Varca road, uncovered concrete rainwater drains which have electricity cables crossing through it and damaged tar of the road edge. This poses a great danger to vehicles, especially two wheelers. I have seen people meet with bad accidents in this stretch at night, with no pavements along village roads this civic neglect also poses a grave danger to pedestrians. Will the panchayat / municipal authorities rectify this pronto or are they waiting for a major mishap to happen before they wake up from their slumber ?
