After monsoon withdrawal, all roads must be repaired

IMD of Goa announced withdrawal of rains in Goa from October 13. However the rain is predicted in next 8 to  9 days. Goa received rainfall of 123 inches this year from June to September 25 which is less than last  year's 173 inches. Goa monsoon starts in June and ends in September or October but this year monsoon started in mid-May  much before schedule. The rainfall in Goa is now unpredictable and has created havoc and disturbed normal life with heavy rainfall. Monsoon also stopped repairs of roads with potholes and hot mixing of roads could not be carried out due to continuous rains and heavy showers. The condition of the roads in Goa is main issue as almost all roads in state are in bad condition with potholes leading to accidents and death of riders on road. Now that monsoon is in withdrawal stage immediate action on repairs of roads is expected especially in North and South Goa. Hope authorities have already issued work order for the same and  hope we have Diwali celebration in right spirit.
