All is not well in the government offices and departments in Goa. Recently, the media has exposed government employees who are absent from duty and enjoying public taxpayers’ money by not doing their jobs. Remember that government employees, MLAs, and ministers are public servants, and the public is not their servants.
Government employees are making citizens dance to their tune. They come to work late and leave early. They attend birthday parties, feasts, and picnic spots on duty, not off duty. When the public questions them, they protect each other by saying that they have gone for inspections, site visits, or to court.
They give various reasons to fool the citizens of this country who come from far away by bus or taxi to get their work done. But the sad thing is that their files do not move from one table to another unless you put money in their pockets. A total waste of public taxpayers’ money. This issue must be stopped by the government.
