Every village has its own panchayat. And these panchayats are responsible for safety of the villages and their villagers. But look at the present scenario and how our small beautiful villages are turning into concrete jungles. In various places one notices huge buildings being built. Our cities and villages show intense pollution and increasing garbage strewn everywhere. The most worst part is the stinking sewage flowing into our erstwhile pristine lakes, and rivers and fields. Is this how development should resemble, one that gives an ugly look for our villages? And the final question -- Are our panchayats really working for the welfare of the villages and their villagers?
