I have been watching senior Goan ministers speaking to the media and their arrogance is appalling. Any excuse or misleading statements are given by these senior ministers except answering the questions by the media in a satisfactory manner. These ministers must remember that they (as public servants) are answerable to the public. One example of a blatant lie is a senior minister recently saying everything happens by the law in Goa; just one example i.e. the Birch nightclub tragedy shows us is that that the reality totally opposite where the lawlessness was from multiple ministries including Home, Panchayat, TCP, Tourism and Revenue. These ministers evade answers to serious questions with all sorts of excuses including sub-judice and even when they answer or give commitments to act like for example on the Zuari mega land scam, hill cutting for mega/housing projects, etc. post the assembly sessions nothing is actually done about these appalling irregularities. The Goa government as I see it is just run by a coterie of 5 senior ministers who seem to be above the law; of which just one is originally from the BJP and rest are all imports calling the shots in Goa.
