Whenever anytrees are being chopped along the roadside, necessary precautions need to betaken so that human lives remain safe while proceeding along the concernedroutes. Otherwise untoward incidents are bound to occur sooner or later.Recently, a huge tree came crashing down over a proceeding scooterist whiletree cutting was in progress along NH66 at Nuvem. As a matter of fact,necessary precautionary measures were not undertaken while taking up the work.There were no enough persons deputed at this site to alert the travellersproceeding along this busy stretch of road. The sole police cop occupying thearea was insufficient to exercise a proper watch over the passerbys. Perhapsbarricades were not paced at the place of tree cutting for alerting public atlarge. Works like that of above demand proper monitoring which was totallyabsent in this particular case. Ultimately, a precious life was lost in theprocess. Above disturbing incident tends to be an ideal lesson for theauthorities who need to remain alert while undertaking tree cutting along theroadsides. Initiating proper precautionary measures gain great importance inassuring safety on a permanent basis.
