It was really shocking to know about the accident that took place on Nuvem highway NH66, where an innocent life was lost. The pre-monsoon work by the PWD that was scheduled caused a tragic accident.
However, there was no concern and responsibility shown by the concerned authorities towards travellers travelling by that route.
There were no proper precautions taken during the cutting of tree. Even the ones appointed for cutting left the site after what happened. There was no traffic in charge or police kept to inspect and direct properly.
It is said 'precaution is better than cure'. Now that such a young, innocent life is lost who's going to take the responsibility of this demise.
However, now by expressing grief and compensation won't bring back the lost life. This is not the first time that an innocent life is lost due to negligence of authorities and if strict action is not taken for this incident then such careless attitude will follow in future and numerous innocent people will fall victims under such the negligence.
I appeal to every Goan driver to be cautious while on road. Kindly abide with traffic rules and take precautionary measures to ensure one's safety.
This government is just here to save their votes, throne, satisfy their selfish needs and their service to the common man is not really their concern.
