People across the world have sent condolence messages and have expressed shock over the untimely death of Jesuit priest-activist Fr Stan Swamy during his pre-trial detention in the middle of his fight for bail in a Mumbai hospital.
Fr Stan Swamy had worked all his life for the "Adivasis", Dalits, and marginalised communities so that the poor may have a life with dignity and honour. Unfortunately, this Jesuit priest was arrested in October last year by the NIA under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and charged with conspiracy in the Bhima Koregaon case.
Some leaders from opposition in Goa have rightly issued condolence messages and have even demanded for strict action against those responsible for the untimely death of Fr Stan.
Unfortunately, the so-called 'minority leaders' from the ruling BJP government have shockingly not even bothered to utter a single word over the untimely death of Fr Stan.
Looks like these minority community leaders from BJP have become so shameless that they have completely sold their souls to enjoy a few left-over crumbs and have even lost all self-conscience to behave like human beings.
Goans should definitely take a serious note of all such leaders and decide to teach them a hard lesson in the upcoming assembly elections.
