The Panchayat is chaired by the Sarpanch and is divided into wards and each ward is represented by Panch, who is directly elected by the villagers.
This is the huge responsibility they take during the election time. But after getting elected most of them forget their role in the panchayat.
During the gram sabha meetings resolutions are passed and copies are sent to various departments according to the needs.
Now the question is, without doing any follow ups how will the said department pass orders?
Most of these elected representatives do not know their job and only two persons are working at times with the rest of them sitting at home. This is how the system works in the Panchayats.
People must realise that those who cannot cope up with their work should not be elected. Time and again it is seen that most of the same faces are elected in the panchayat elections.
It is time the elected panchas work for the development of the village rather than having political affiliations.
