Cabral fetes 650 Covid warriors on birthday

The Curchorem MLA and Power Minister Nilesh Cabral celebrated his birthday by feting around 650 Covid warriors from various departments like health, electricity, municipality, police, fire fighters, lauding the dedication they showed for the past two years.

Cabral, known for his simple lifestyle and high thinking, visited eight venues to felicitate covid warriors, beginning with Curchorem health centre, where around 80 doctors, nurses and other staff were feted. Later, 180 employees from different departments working in Curchorem were felicitated. Among these were assistant engineers, engineers, officers, light men, line helpers etc. The chief officers, engineers, workers and waste management workers were also felicitated. Around 180 police personnel from Curchorem Police Station along with police Kiran Paudwal, superintendent Ravindra Desai, deputy superintendent, hawaldar, traffic police, CID branch were lauded for their work. Fire brigade employees and garbage disposal workers were also thanked for their job.

While addressing the people, Cabral thanked the citizens of Curchorem who voted for him twice. “I shall always remain obliged to make me win twice,” said Cabral. Mentioning that Curchorem was earlier, known as a village, but once the developmental work gets completed the village will get a status of a city, he pointed out that many projects are underway here. Cabral assured that he is committed to complete these projects. The mega projects like Cacoda Health Centre and Sports Complex are expected to get completed in the near future and these will make the city feel proud, said Cabral. Though the power minister celebrated his birthday by felicitating others, many well-wishers met him personally to wish him.
