PANAJI
After ending a three-year-long exercise the North Goa Planning and Development Authority (NGPDA) has notified the Outline Development Plan (ODP)-2030 for Arpora-Nagoa-Parra villages of Bardez taluka.
People can see these outlined development plans at the NGPDA office in Mala or village panchayat office of Parra panchayat.
Minister for TCP Chandrakant Kavlekar had said that the draft ODPs of Arpora-Nagoa-Parra villages have been finalised by the NGPDA by following all the procedures.
He said that as per procedure draft ODPs of Arpora-Nagoa-Parra villages were prepared and then approved by the Board. Then these drafts were kept open for public suggestions and objections for a period of 60 days before finalizing these. Suitable changes were made considering the suggestions and objections in the draft ODP and the plan was finalised.
The people can see the plans at NGPDA office, Mala-Panaji, and also at the Parra Panchayat office, added Minister Kavlekar.
It may recalled that the area comprising three villages Arpora, Nagoa and Parra were brought under the jurisdiction of North Goa Planning and Development authority through a notification in February 2018 under TCP act 1974 section 18. The NGPDA then prepared land-use maps and registers which were approved in December 2018. In the 169th meeting in July 2020, the Town and Country Planning Board has approved the draft ODP.
After keeping the plans open for public suggestions and objections as mandated, the TCP approved the plan in its 79th meeting held in March 2021. Following this, the government granted approval to the plan on July 7, 2021, under section 36 of the TCP Act.
