It appears that in a study, a nurse looking after terminally ill patients has documented some but almost similar regrets. The regrets are not about wealth, property, or any other precious, material possessions in life. It seems strange but true and hence dying sadly with such regrets are best avoided. Regrets for not being able to share maximum time with those whom we loved most, ie family, dear and near ones due to preoccupation with and preference to other issues. Regrets for actions, behaviour, attitudes being controlled and hindered by opinions, judgements, criticism of others. Regrets are haunting, bad memories of having reserved unconsciously expressions of emotions of gratitude, love, thanks to friends, etc. Regrets are of inability to keep in touch through an occasional message, phone, sometimes with people who mean so much. Finally the worst regret is we are so much concerned and sensitive to the feelings, happiness of others around that our own happiness was sacrificed and denied wilfully and intentionally. It is best to forget than ruminate over regrets that ruin our happy state of mind .We live just once, so I cannot be replaced by we. Hence I and we must coexist happily together.
