Modi and Rajnath Singh have on the campaign trail been trying to highlight the macho attitude and musculature of their government by saying that we will go into their houses and beat them up.Later Modi has been more specific and said that they will hit the terrorists on their own turf. The attack on Balakot after Pulwama was an elaborate hoax as also the claim of 'surgical strikes' before that which was mostly unsubstantiated. In fact Pulwama happened because of the carelessness and the lack of concern for our soldiers lives by administrators of our paramilitary forces. Where the ground situation demanded that the soldiers be airlifted from Jammu to Srinagar they were sent in an unwieldy and massive convoy. About hitting the turf, our forces did exactly that in the air strike on Balakot where they created a big hole in the turf of a madrassa compound, no signs of terrorists were there anywhere. The holes in our security administration and infrastructure were there even before that with the terrorist strikes on the army camp at Uri and the largest air base Pathankot in northern India. It is not how you deal in the aftermath of a terror strike but the efficiency and strength of your security apparatus is shown by preventing such attacks and neutralising them before they reach their planned targets. Therefore Modi & co need to create these elaborate hoaxes to sway the gullible minds of uneducated and less informed voters.
