The use of gutka is fast gaining ground across Goa with small kiosks springing up everywhere especially in South Goa. Public, commercial and office buildings are witness to the gutka menace with their corners, corridors and stairways stained red. We all know that gutka is a trigger for oral cancer and it’s popularity among the migrant population and native Goans too is a cause for extreme concern. The government would do well to ban gutka in the State.
