I initially appreciated the work of specific non-Goan (self proclaimed) activists on their campaign to highlight various real estate/ land irregularities and Goa’s environmental destruction facilitated by corrupt and power hungry senior Goan ministers; only to be surprised to find : They were big time real estate agents helping a good amount of people from outside the state secure properties by charging large commissions and they take bytes/information from credible Goan activists/NGOs and then pass it off as their own information; without giving any credit to the source of the information. Does their big real estate business mainly to people from out of state not contradict their activism to protect/preserve Goa’s land environment and identity? Is their activism just a marketing gimmick to portray themselves as “ethical real estate agents” ? I request Goans and non-Goans who care about Goa to please stay away from such type of “self proclaimed activists” !
