This is with reference to the report, "Centre allows private bikes to operate on aggregator apps - The Goan Everyday - July 3, 2025." The introduction of bike taxis is perhaps a good initiative especially for last-kilometre connectivity. In cities like Mumbai where train commuters struggle to get an autorickshaw, bike taxis seem a good option. The safety factor however needs to be looked at. There is opposition from autorickshaw drivers though. But these autorickshaw drivers need to be taught a lesson. When they talk about financial loss they don't bat an eyelid while refusing short distance passengers. The authorities must do all they can to ensure the general public get to their destination without much hassle.
