It's rather interesting to note the impressive turnout at BJP public gatherings for the campaigns relating to the Lok Sabha elections.
But on close scrutiny, the crowd often allegedly comprises of individuals from Maharashtra and Karnataka rather than predominantly local attendees from Goa.
These individuals are often incentivised with perks like free food, transportation, and a daily fee of Rs 2000, making it quite an attractive proposition. However, it's disheartening to see fewer of our fellow Goans engaging in such events.
The campaign of BJP’s South Goa candidate Pallavi also draws large crowds, but these people are more aligned closely with the BJP leadership.
However, what is more concerning is Pallavi appears to support projects that many Goans are opposed to. It is time she comes out openly and spells out her support to the projects that are dear to Goans.
