It is reported that the state government is all set to deploy AI bots because government departmental staff cannot handle the hundreds of grievances they get daily from the public, investors, civic activists, tourists, etc. The first question is why in a good efficient government are there so many grievances? As a citizen already a victim of bots, it is very difficult to make any complaint not listed / the bot is not programmed for. A bot cannot read email, nor will lead you to a company executive but directs you after answering all sorts of unnecessary questions to another bot who directs you back to the same bot. As it is you are frustrated to make a grievance report and are given the runaround wasting your time. That has been my experience with a service provider and a bank. I request the government to please get feedback once the bots are introduced so they can handle out of the box queries/complaints by allowing them to refer the grievance to a departmental authority if they are unable to help answer the grievance.
