At the foot of the Calvim bridge is a grand memorial plaque which was installed in loving memory of the Calvim bus tragedy victims. Several people stop at this memorial to pay tribute and light candles in memory of these innocent victims. After dusk, this memorial lies in complete darkness. The bridge was the promise of successive governments and was a distant dream of the people. But it took a tragedy for the bridge to see the light of day. However, the memorial of the victims lies in darkness. The local authority or the Aldona MLA should install a light fixture on the shed at the earliest as a mark of respect to the departed souls.
