After stunning the Goan public in the recent Assembly session on the issue of double tracking Cortalim MLA is taking SW Railways head on by asking them to show ownership papers of the land claimed by them.
Senior railway officials from time to time have clearly said the land below the tracks does not belong to the railways. Our Cortalim MLA has shown great courage, and courage of conviction by standing tall and standing up to the power of SW Railways while our Goan men make no more than squeaky sounds produced by new shoes and old mindsets.
The people of Cortalim are proud to see a woman MLA who has shown the courage of her convictions, a woman who has made it amply clear she is walking the talk. She is willing to take the political consequences of her words and deeds. If there is another MLA in the Assembly please stand up and be counted -- the people are watching and waiting!
She is unreasonable as she is for honest and proper procedures. Has her political obituary been already written or will and can the BJP government follow her lead?
